Simon Plumridge - Director / Designer / Maker
Artistic Director: Ding Foundation 2000 BAC Supported Artists for 2000 He was the co-founder, devisor, designer, and performer for The Ding Foundation, making 'Being a Bird', and 'Unexploded Bomb'. (see www.thedingfoundation.com)
For Platform 4 Theatre: directed and designed national touring production / middle scale 'Macbeth', and their regional tour of 'The Tempest', as well as designing 'Bliss', 'Shiver', and 'Claustrophobia'. He led on creating New Tempest Club and directing both student internship projects: Tempest and Comedy of Errors for the University of Winchester from 2009 – 2014.
Simon is also a maker and designer for Little Angel Theatre, Islington and co-designed 'The Magician's Daughter' in 2011 and designing 'The Tear Thief' for The Little Angel and We’re going on a Bear Hunt in 2013. He has also designed for Scarlet Theatre, Angels in the Architecture, Playing For Time, and Traumstadt, and was assistant designer on The Young Vic's 'Sleeping Beauty' at The Barbican.
He is currently producing and directing a regional tour of his long cherished piece: The Legend of the Holy Drinker in association with Little Angel Theatre and Lighthouse, Poole.
